What is TidyUp?

TidyUp is an app designed to help you easily delete gallery photos and videos from your phone by swiping. The app provides an intuitive interface to quickly sort through your media library and remove unwanted content.

How does the app work?

TidyUp uses a simple swipe-based interface to help you organize your photos and videos:

  • Swipe left on photos/videos you want to delete
  • Swipe right on photos/videos you want to keep

Home Screen

How do I mark photos for deletion?

Simply swipe photos or videos to the left to mark them for deletion. The app will remember your choice and you can review all marked items later before permanently deleting them.

How do I keep photos?

Swipe photos or videos to the right to mark them as "keep". These items will be skipped during the deletion process.

What does the yellow circle button do?

Tap the yellow circle button to open the filter and sort options. From there, you can customize which photos and videos are displayed and how they are organized.

Can I undo a swipe?

Yes! Tap the arrow button to undo your last swipe action. This allows you to quickly correct any mistakes while sorting through your media.

Delete Screen

What is the Delete Screen?

The Delete Screen (accessible via the "delete-screen" tab) shows all photos and videos you have marked for deletion. This gives you a final opportunity to review your choices before permanently removing them.

Can I unmark items in the Delete Screen?

Yes! Tap on any photo or video in the Delete Screen to remove the deletion mark. The item will be unmarked and you can swipe it again from the home screen if needed.

How do I permanently delete the marked items?

After reviewing all marked items in the Delete Screen, tap the "Confirm Deletion" button to permanently delete all marked photos and videos from your device. Warning: This action cannot be undone.

Settings

Can I reset photos I marked as "keep"?

Yes! In the Settings, you can reset all photos and videos that were marked as "keep". This will remove the "keep" mark, allowing you to swipe through them again and make new decisions.

Filter & Sort Options

How do I access filter and sort options?

Tap the yellow circle button on the home screen to open the Filter & Sort screen.

What filtering options are available?

You can filter your media by type:

  • Show only photos
  • Show only videos
  • Show both photos and videos

How can I sort my photos and videos?

You can sort by creation date in the following ways:

  • Oldest to newest (oldest first)
  • Newest to oldest (newest first)

Can I filter by album?

Yes! You can choose to swipe through photos and videos from a specific album, or select "All" to include media from all albums on your device.
